An alternative to ME-QR, with no advert before the page

A scan is not a click. Somebody has walked up to a poster, taken out a phone and pointed it at a square, and whatever happens next happens while they are standing there deciding whether this was worth it. That is the moment an advert lands in.

Their column summarises each company's own pages, checked on 13 September 2026. Prices are as shown to a visitor in Romania, not converted.

When to stay where you are

ME-QR generates code types this product does not, such as a code carrying a contact card or a plain text payload. Here a code encodes a link and nothing else, including when that link opens a hosted Wi-Fi card. There is also no bulk generation from a spreadsheet and no team accounts, so a few hundred codes is a few hundred visits to a form. If any of that is your daily work, an advert on a free scan is the cheaper problem.

Moving printed codes across

What can move

A DYNAMIC code whose destination you control. Point their redirect at a new code here and the printed artwork never changes.

What cannot

A STATIC code has their address in the pixels and nothing moves it. Worth checking before you plan anything: the scan behaviour you want to leave belongs to the free tier, so upgrading with them is also a way to remove it.

  1. Scan one of your own printed codes with a phone and watch what happens before the page loads. That is what your customers see and it is the whole reason to move.
  2. List every printed code and mark each static or dynamic. Only the dynamic ones can be repointed.
  3. Repoint them here, scan each one again, and check the advert is gone before you stop paying anyone.

What happens here if you stop paying

Your printed codes

Keep resolving. They return to the free plan; they do not switch off.

Your scan history

Trims to the free window of 7 days. Export the full history to CSV first and it is yours to keep.

Elsewhere in this category

Some platforms stop a dynamic code when a trial or subscription ends, and printed material stops with it.
