The part nobody else does

GA4 sorts traffic by substring and regex rules on the medium, so a tag containing “cp” is silently reported as paid advertising and one containing “mobile” as a push notification. Tags are checked as you type, lowercased so Spring and spring stay one campaign, and appended at scan time so they remain editable after the artwork is at the printer.

How do I make a free QR code?
Type the link, press the button, download the code. No card, no trial. The first 3 codes are free for good.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. A code keeps working for as long as this service exists, including on the free plan and including after you stop paying. Printed material does not stop working because a trial ended.
Is there a limit on scans?
No, on any plan. A successful flyer should never switch itself off. What the free plan limits is how many codes you keep at once, currently 3. A code counts while it exists in the account: delete one you no longer print and the slot frees.
Can I change where a printed QR code points?
Yes. The printed image encodes a short link, and the destination behind it is editable at any time. Every copy already in the world re-points, and the image itself never changes.
Do you ask for a card?
Not for the free plan: signing up and using the free codes never needs one, and there is no trial clock or anything to cancel. A card comes in only if you choose Pro, which is billed monthly.
Why are the codes free?
Because a free code that died two weeks after two thousand flyers were printed is what started this. The free plan is the product; what costs money is what a business with several placements needs on top: more codes, complete history, campaigns.
What happens to my codes if I want to leave?
They keep working. Take a full JSON backup of everything you made, any time, without asking anyone; the export exists so that leaving is always possible.
Why do my QR scans show as Unassigned in Google Analytics?
GA4 has no default channel rule for a QR medium, so under the default channel group scans land in Unassigned; the session source and medium still read correctly, and one custom channel group on medium = qr names them for good. Tags are validated here as you type, lowercased so that Spring and spring do not report as two campaigns, and appended at scan time so they stay editable after printing.
What happens to my codes if I cancel Pro?
They keep resolving. The account returns to the free plan, so history trims to 7 days and the 3-code ceiling applies to NEW codes again, but every code you have already printed keeps working and none are deleted. That is the whole promise, and it is the one thing most of this category does not offer.
Is my scan data private?
Scan analytics cover country, city, device and referrer. Visitors are counted without storing the IP address: it is turned on the spot into a fingerprint the address cannot be read back from.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. A full JSON backup on any plan, and CSV export of every scan on Pro. Export before cancelling if you want to keep the complete history rather than the free window.
