A QR Code Generator alternative for codes that keep working
Most of a comparison between two QR products is noise. Both make codes, both count scans, both export a PNG. One difference is worth the switch on its own, and it only shows up weeks after you have printed something.
Their column summarises each company's own pages, checked on 13 September 2026. Prices are as shown to a visitor in Romania, not converted.

When to stay where you are
This product has real gaps, and they are the kind you feel daily rather than once. There is no bulk generation from a spreadsheet, so a few hundred codes is a few hundred visits to a form. There are no team accounts or per-seat permissions: an account is one login. And a code here encodes a link, so if you need a QR code that carries a contact card or a plain text payload, this is the wrong tool. Switching for a promise you need once, at the cost of something you use every week, is a bad trade.
Moving printed codes across
What can move
A DYNAMIC code, where the printed image encodes their short link and you control the destination behind it. Repoint their redirect at a new code here and the printed artwork never changes.
What cannot
A STATIC code has their address in the pixels, and nothing moves it. That artwork belongs to that destination until you reprint. This is the cost of having printed a static code rather than a cost of switching, and no product can undo it.
- List every code you have printed and mark each one static or dynamic. That split decides everything else.
- Export your scan history first. It does not come with you, and a report you have not downloaded is a report you are about to lose.
- Repoint the dynamic ones, scan each with a phone, and only then cancel.
What happens here if you stop paying
Your printed codes
Keep resolving. They return to the free plan; they do not switch off.
Your scan history
Trims to the free window of 7 days. Export the full history to CSV first and it is yours to keep.
Elsewhere in this category
Some platforms stop a dynamic code when a trial or subscription ends, and printed material stops with it.
